i just started up my computer for the first time. after running through the post. my hdd, cd-rw, and floppy were recognized, but i got a disk boot failure-insert system disk and press enter message. i inserted the cd that came with the motherboard and the message came up again. also the floppy light wouldn't go off. any fixs you know of, thanks kellin

hi
the floppy light not going off is a good indication that the cable is on backwards.

has the harddrive been partitioned with fdisk and then formatted?

http://bootdisk.com/

Download or open the appropriate bootdisk then run the exe with a blank floppy in the drive.
This will give you the basic dos tools such as fdisk.
