i just started up my computer for the first time. after running through the post. my hdd, cd-rw, and floppy were recognized, but i got a disk boot failure-insert system disk and press enter message. i inserted the cd that came with the motherboard and the message came up again. also the floppy light wouldn't go off. any fixs you know of, thanks kellin |

hi the floppy light not going off is a good indication that the cable is on backwards. has the harddrive been partitioned with fdisk and then formatted? |

http://bootdisk.com/ Download or open the appropriate bootdisk then run the exe with a blank floppy in the drive. This will give you the basic dos tools such as fdisk. Kevin |
