Appreciate some assistance.

When the pc boots, subject message is one of the lines that comes up on the screen.

What exactly is DMI; what does this message mean?

DMI stands for Desktop Management Interface. It is an integrated part of the BIOS that helps Windows manage hardware better. This is a perfectly normal and healthy message for your PC to generate. You won't see it every time, only when the DMI information has changed in some way.
