good afternoon, i have a serious problem. i have a friends computer. it is a asus atx multimedia system. k7m mob. amd 700, 8gig hd. 16meg agp video card. (nvidia tnt). i blew the hard drive, and reformated it and reinstalled win 98. my problem is when it booted up, it found new hardware. it says it found standard vga display adapter (pci). it has a agp card. i am not understanding why it will not regconize the agp. therefore, i can only get 16 colors. (not good folks). i removed the agp card, and installed one of my pci 4meg cards, and it picked it right up with no problem. i took it out, and put the agp card back in, and rebooted to the same deal, standard display adapter vga pci. what am i not doing right here. i have never come across a problem like this one, and i have blown and redone a lot of hd's. the man is waiting on his system (yikes), please save me a whole lot of humiliation and tell me what is wrong. all my little local tech buddies is like huh?. so i new i had to come to the professionals for the right help. thanks in advance for all th support. wish you all a good weekend. GOD BLESS. |

you need to download the drivers be sure the standard video adapter is installed before installing the tnt card there should be an instruction file with the download http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=drivers good luck |
