i recently went to windowsupdate and installedintel corporation storage version 12/10/2001 76035 on my 500mhz ibm aptiva running windows98se. on the control panel under system ,performance it said something like not proper config or not optimum etc. my comp was running really bad (better now but still bad) so i went to configsafe and chose an earlier snapshot of my system, the message is gone from the control panel but i did not remove the driver. can someone please tell me how to find this driver and remove it
thanks

Windows XP or Windows Me? I had the same problem with an I810 system and 500 MHZ on Me. After the rollback in Me the only solution I found was to boot in safe mode and remove the IDE devices reboot and reinstall the default Windows drivers. This cured the problem but really isn't much of a solution.

With win98 you might try a safe mode boot and remove the drivers and on reboot just install the standard intel drivers if your Motherboard is an intel chipset.
