I have a Digital Venturis FX-2 AMD233mmx built around 1997. All manuals and tech support is limited to "legacy" support, as Digital was consumed by Compaq many years ago. The last known upgrade limit shows a AMD350 chip is supported, I am hoping for an AMD K6-II 500. The motherboard is proprietary, a two piece unit that has a socket 7 with the zif lever. There are plenty of jumper options for voltage etc., but since the manuals list only the 350mhz. chip(the k6-II500 was not out yet)I have no Idea how to determine if this is an option. please e-mail or post, thanx

I have a similar quandry... I have two socket 7 motherboard candidates, an Intel 82430I and a TriGem TGS-90460. I am trying to install an AMD K6-2 550 MHz chip. I can boot with the Intel motherboard and a non-3D graphics video board, but get no POST with a TNT nVidia board installed. I get no POST at all on the TGS-90460 board. The jumper settings (that I know of) on the TGS-90460 are for 120, 133, 150, 166, 200, & 233 MHz; none work. All help appreciated. Thanx
