I'm having problems installing my soundcard. Computer detects the new hardware but is unable to install it. I get a message from the New Hardware Wizard saying it can't install the device due to invalid data. I thought the problem could be that before installing the SB 5.1 I used the soundcard integrated on the motherboard. I disabled the old souncard in bios and uninstalled its drivers but still no success. I downloaded the latest drivers for XP and the problem persists. Changing the PCI slot didn't help either. Any ideas as to what may be causing the problem? |

The last time I installed a Live card in a system that had integrated sound there were actually 2 places in the bios to disable it, one from the i/o devices list and one from the peripheral list. It was a VIA audio codec on an Award BIOS if my memory serves. |

Try win win98 or WinMe... if not work, buy another card Verify if SB Live card have conflict with some MotherBoard (search with google.com)! |
