Hi, I'm having a little problem with saving pictures from the internet. I had a virus on my computer about a week ago and had to reload the whole thing thus losing all my pictures I had saved. I can save pictures (from emails)in my file as a jpg (as they come through as this) but when i try to save a picture from the internet, even though it is a jpg my save box will only let me save it as an art or bmp file - which I don't want and can't view!!!! is there anything I need to tick or untick in a file to sort this out??? if anyone knows can you please email me it will be greatly apprecicated! thanks for your time!

1. The fast -> install windows again & all applications.
2. The best -> see 1.
3. The last -> Install ultimate Antivirus.
4. Convert picures with AcDc in JPG format.
5. See 2. :)))

Assume it is Internet Explorer that you are using.

Might try a repair by going to control panel then add remove choosing Internet Explorer and when clicking remove should be given an option to repair (depending on your operating system).

Could try Opera or Netscape which will probably allow save as jpg.

Considering virus damage or file corruption the best fix may be as PentaNet suggests.

I have found when dealing with a virus problem is to wipe the computer clean and start from scratch, if you just reload the operating system the virus may still be hiding on your hard drive.

So you may have this problem occur again.
Also be careful from where you get your software
