Hey everyone,
I recently was given the above computer and have taken everything apart, put it all back together, tried to boot up with just the chip in the board etc... I need to know what the beep codes are, Im getting 3 long followed by 3 short. If anyone can help it would be great !! I have emailed the support site on the net (3 times over the last 2 weeks) but they still havent got back to me... Thanks ! |

oh, you need to know what bios it has, is it an ami bios? an award bios? or a phoenix bios. that will tell me what it may indicate.
for the most part. the base is, and don't quote me, 1-3-3 beeps are the indication the motherboard is bad, replace it. first things first, check memory, then the video card, which is why most say to remove all other devices except memory, cpu, and video, when testing. it makes it easier to trace the problem. if it worked before with no problem, i'd say you may have something not seated firmly. |
