My Hercules Muse XL worked fine with 98se, after upgrading to 2000pro it does not function. is there a such thing as a PCI driver? Its like 2000 can't read the PCI slot. The sound card is 2000 compliant. |

Hercules Muse XL (CMI 8738 chip)if Hercules doesn't have a driver for win2k posted try the CMI drivers at http://www.cmedia.com.tw/edl8738.htm granted not all functions of the card may be enabled by the chip manufacturers driver but you should at least get your sound working again. |

Windows 2000 likes to stack IRQ's for PCI devices (many devices on same IRQ)this may be a problem as well. |
