I swapped hard disks on my Laptops,,one a dell the other a fujistu...didnt work..problem is whn I put them back nither computer is now working,,,so strange,,,any idea's??

On many Laptops the first track on some hard disks contain pertinent info about the overall system they are installed in, when swapped out, this data can be corrupted resulting in the problem you are experiencing. You can try the manufacturers websights for downloads that will restore the hardrives back to working condition but you will most likely lose any data that is on them.

Ok if the data is lost,,,does that mean that the HD can no longer be used??...

No, it means you will have to restore the disk back to the original laptop manufacturers specifications. After this is done you may have to reinstall the operating system (windows) with a recovery disk or oem Windows version, whichever came with it.
