I have a Compaq Presario 1700, running on Windows ME. When I right-click My Computer, goto Properties, Device Manager, and under Network Adapters, one of my network adapters have a exclaimation mark on it.
I can't connect to the Internet because of this problem. I tried removing that adapter and installing it again but the exclaimation mark is still there. Everytime I turn on the laptop, I get the error message that my adapter is not properly working and that I have to set it up again. How can I fix this?

When you POST the same questions in 2 different topics, that tends to confuse those who would wish to help you.

I didn't mean to POST the same questions in 2 differnt topics, but I thought the other topic was more suitable.
