I have just got a new computer and I have loaded windows 98 SE on to it (just for the time being) Please click the flowing link to view a picture of my device manager window:

http://home.iprimus.com.au/rbarrell/comp.bmp

Notice how there is a issue/problem with the "Primary IDE Controller (dual fifo)":

all VIA 4 in 1 drivers have been installed

I have a Socket 370 Processor Motherboard made by gigabyte mother board GA-6VTXE
VIA 694T AGPset.

Chipset: • VT82C694T
• VT82C686B

The hard drive is a 3 gig Fujitsu Limited: •MPC3032AT

Does any one know what my problem is? and how to go about fixing it?

any help is appreciated

Cheers

E.S.

It could be a resource conflict, a problem with the sound card-a/c97 codec not being installed yet. Start with the obvious, highlite and click on properties to see what Windows says about it.
