I've got a HP Pavilion 6470z and want to upgrade the anemic 145W p/s. I bought a 300W Power One P/S from an auction house but the plugs dont match up. The main board has "P2B-VE" marked on it and a chip onboard is marked "ASUS AS97127". This really looks like an ASUS board but they dont list it on their website. I would like to have some docs on this board to figure out the plug problem as well as any other questions which may arise in the future. I havent been able to find anything at HP, but I may not be looking in the right place. Anyone have any help? Thanx

i sent a html to you on fake mb's. could not find this model, either. asus is phasing out some of the p2b models. i would call asus or a dealer about if you can get the info or whether this is not really one of their boards.

The P2B-VE is an ASUS board made for desktop HP Pavilions. It has a Intel ZX chipset, and lacks a few connectors compared to other ASUS ZX boards. I believe the board is Micro ATX sized.

I have acidentally pulled the connector cable for the cd rom from the motherboard on my HP 6470z, and I can not find the connector pins to plug it back in.

Can someone please give me a general idea about where the pins, (not for the IDE cable), are located so I can get my cd rom up and running again?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Try This HP support link,

Might help with the P2B-VE ASUS boards
