Does anyone have details of the pin configuration on the removable screens on the early NEC Versa notebooks? I want to try to work out if it would be possible to modify the screen to work as a monitor for a regular computer. |

Generally, without a video card designed from the ground up to work with LCD displays, its just not going to happen. |

That can be arranged. I have an ATI based card here that supports LCD panels. |

OK, but I still don't know the pinouts friend, Im sorry, just thought I would spare you some searching if you didnt have such a card. Check Trish's links, they have some good pinout pages, but I cant recall seeing this one. As well, if you have the screen out, check to see if there is a manufacturer aside from NEC and check there for a white paper. Or check the Chips and Technology website, you will have to search for it, but they make over 80% of the laptop panels on earth. They might have made your screen, and have a white paper or engineering paper you could use. |
