I have a Dell Dimension 8200 with a 1.9gig 400mhz cpu. Can I up the cpu any at all in this computer. I know the last 400mhz cpu made is a 2.4gig. Any help on this would be appreciated, Dell flat out refuses to answer any question like this.

What socket type is your 1.9 GHZ? If it is a socket 478 your board should support the 2.4GHZ 400 FSB part with no problem. The only issue is the heatsink mount on some Dell PC's were of less than desireable configuration meaning some type of proprietary mechanism that won't accomodate a standard P4 socket478 cooler.
If it is a socket423 you will need an adaptor to use the socket478 cpu and once again the cooler issue might come into play as well.
