I came to your website after reading an article at http://hardwarehell.com/articles/addendum.shtml which is suggesting the deletion of all files in c:\docume~1\yourusername\temp ... but there is no such directory on my system... the temp directory is one more directory down at C:\Documents and Settings\MyUserName\Local Settings\Temp ... there are some HUGE files in this directory that I would dearly love to delete... they have names like ~PST1084.tmp ... just 4 of these files use up 3.3GB on my system ... Are these my swap file? Why are there 4 of them? I am trying to do a MAJOR cleanup on my disk... the Disk Cleanup utility doesn't seem to touch these files... Any suggestions?

Granted I don't know diddly about computers, but I HAVE deleted every temp file I can find under my name, under "other users" names and anywhere else I can find them and not had any repercussions. Best to leave them in the recycle bin for a few days just to be sure you haven't cut off your nose to spite your face. (Of course, my "When in doubt, try it out" approach to computer education has landed me in hot water on more than one occasion.

you might need to use tracks eraser or evidence eliminator
