I have a Dell Dimension 8200 w\ a p4 2.0 ghz proc. I want to buy dell's newish 24" lcd monitor, but i'm going to need something a bit stronger than my nvidia geforce gti 64mb card for the higher dvi resolutions. problem is, it looks like i'll pretty much need an sli card, but my motherboard only supports agp 4x, sooo--what's a good "economical" motherboard upgrade that will support something like the eVGA Geforce 6600GT.

thanks guys!

The 6600GT also is available in AGP 8X mode which runs perfectly well on 4X AGP ports. I would be more concerned with the power supply and wattages the DELL PSU puts out. As far as I know the SLI boards are all pretty much high end for most available chipsets, mid tier motherboard manufacturers haven't adopted SiS and VIA PCIe yet much less SLI capable PCIe.

Yes, with the case of the ultrasharp monitor, the video card does all the work in hardware (rendering, colors, buffer, Pixel Shader, etc.)
