I'm running OS2000. Using Drag and File, I attempted to move a folder by dragging it from the Program Files subdirectory and place it directly under the Root (c:\) directory. Something went wrong and the new directory repeatedly reproduced itself (50 or 60 times before I stopped it) Now I cannot delete the faulty directory because the string is too long. Can you advise?
Thanks!

I am using Win. 98 O.S.
I added the Command (DELTREE/y c:\windows\ShellIconChache
It would not work, I even went into windows and manually Deleted it. It keeps returning back every time I start my computer.

Check the file size before and after. If it is not there when the computer starts up, Windows recreates it, however, at the default size without the bloat.
