I have a Pentium 11 350, 128 Mb RAM, Microstar motherboard 6156 ver 1.0 BX7, Ami Bios (c) 1996, American Megatrends Inc A615601 Ver2 121498 and Windows 98, and AGP 2X.

Has anyone installed this card into a similar system without any problems before I part with my hard earned cash?

Take a look at this page from Hercules:

The most common problem is lack of power at the AGP slot. My guess is that your BX board will be fine, but it varies from board to board, and Microstar is pretty vague about these things. LX chipset boards will NOT run the TNT or GeForce cards successfully.
