My friends computer when booting gives a keyboard locked-unlock keyboard F1 to resume error message. They tried replacing keyboard with no change. Is the controller for the keyboard the likely culprit?

If you have a key hole on the front of your system case, then it is highly likely that someone has locked it via the key....If you don't have a key for it, then open the case and follow the wires from the back of the lock to the mainboard, then remove the wires....In the case where the power led is in the same plug remove the wires for the kylock only....This should solve the problem and prevent in the case of outside interference, from happening again..
