Ok hi everyone :P
well
about 2 days ago, i bought a imation cd burn-r (8x4x32) and after struggling to install it i finally got it (yay :)) well anyway it was yay untill i tried to do a cd to cd burn, and it kept telling me to insert a cd into my cdrom (there was one in there)
so i got fed up with that and copied the data to the hard drive then burnt it to the disk.
Later on, i tried playing a game. I put the cd in the cdrom and it spun up... stoped then up came winamp, trying to play the cd...
I explored the cdrom and to my dismay all that was showing was a single *.cda file !
BUT the thing is another game works fine! so far all i have been able to read successfully from my cdrom is a playstation demo disk, and a rally game
can some one please help
regards,

ps
could you also send the help to my e-mail address thankyou
Trish

You might check out http://www.cdrfaq.org/faq04.html#S4-37 and if that doesn't do it, I'd check out the rest of this excellent FAQ.

Thankyou for your help.
I read the FAQ and found out that there was a file that was conflicting with my cdrom.
I uninstalled direct cd v3.1 which came with my burner on a disc from adeptec. there is a file installed by direct cd called a UDF READER
i got rid of that and it worked
