Hi!
I recently purchased a Xircom Realport XEM5600 card
for my AMS Tech TravelPro 2550CX98. Xircom technical
support has recommended that I flash the BIOS to a
more recent version.
I am trying to locate the appropriate Award FlashBIOS
utility and file to flash my AMS Tech TravelPro 2550CX98 laptop?

BIOS Date: 09/15/98
BIOS ID String: 09/15/1998-FIRESTAR-2A5UQC29C-00

I believe that is a Chicony board. You won't find squat on their website, but worth a try to send them an email...

Try the Taiwain site http://www.chicony.com.tw/ The US site was working yesterday, but hey...when a company will drop all mention of past products on their site, who knows what kind of server they are sitting on.
