I just purchased an MSI 831 Geforce2 Pro video card and no matter what I do with the drivers, the system freezes during a boot. I don't think the card itself is bad because the system still boots to safe mode. I have tried three versions of the driver ,, no luck.

Asus A7V
Upgradeing from Ati Fury Maxx

Please help. I need my games.

I am by no means an expert however you should be aware of power consuption of you system and ensure that your power supply can support it.

It is probably not your problem but the symptoms would be simialar
