Hi, I have a 1ghz P3, with a VC820 motherboard, and recently I upgraded my video card to an Elsa Gladiac 920 Geforce3. Now everything worked fine for about 2 weeks, until one day I went to turn the computor on, and it didn't come on. The DVD drive turned on, and the fans, but nothing else. The monitor was getting no signal. Now I turned it off and on a few times, and it did the same thing, until everything stopped coming on. So I switched the power cable for the monitor to the computor, still nothing, reseated the ram, still nothing, took out all the PCI cards, still nothing. So I figured it was the power supply, so I had that replaced and it still didn't work. I replaced the motherboard, and the fans and DVD started running again, but the harddrive wouldn't run or anything. Now I took out the Geforce3 and put in an old Geforce 256 and everything works fine... if I put the Geforce3 in it won't start up. Now my question is: Is the card junk? Would a junk card make the computor not boot?

It is possible that the card is faulty "dragging down" a power supply voltage line.

Also you need to ensure that your power supply's rating is sufficient maybe the new card needs more current and it is time to move up in wattage(example 200watt p.s. to 300watts)
