Ok, my computer is heading downhill fast. Ive had many knacking problems lately but a few are really making me angry. 1: My sound is messed up. Everytime i try to play a sound like an mp3, wav, or midi it says "MMSYSTEM002 A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system." However my sound card is present and in tact and so are my speakers. Now i dont hav the software for my sound card or speakers.... what can i do?? 2: When i go to device manager and my A-E drives all hav a yellow "!" circle next to them. It gives me the message "This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed (Code 10)" But i know not any of those are true cuz i checked all that stuff. Also it says all those drives are running in MS-Dos Compadibility mode. Any help would be SUPER appreciated!! |

looks like you have a resource conflict with another device. try either changing slots or you need to tweak the irq's and/or memory addresses of one or both. about the drivers, you say they you don't have them? um, give the brand, model number, and specs for it. maybe one of us can find it. the sound card, that is, assuming it may be one you installed. if not, and you bought a computer, still, give the brand and model of the computer, there may be a place on the manufacturers web site,, if it exists. if all it is is the drivers, then you need to find them and install them, that may just do it. |
