Hi:

Monitor 1 year old - just outside the warranty. Was playing a game and the monitor was doing its usual thing of cycling to black to change its resolution and all of a sudden it has just stayed in the black mode - no picture, nothing - green on led is still lit - no picture - common game - use it all the time as do thousands of others - anybody have any clue as to why the monitor has frozen in the screen off position?? Thanks, Jim Hawkins

hi
if it were a driver problem you would still see your memory countup and such. it makes me think hardware problem. did you try pulling out the video card, blowing out dust(from pci or agp slot)(unless it's on-board video in which this won't apply) with compressed air and reseating? or check connection from monitor to pc

just a quick thought from this quarter
