The two bottom corners of my monitor are purple and the two top corners are green. What is wrong and can it be fixed?

Your monitor needs to be degaussed (demagnetized). Most monitors have a degaussing coil built in to them, and circuitry which activates it when the monitor is turned on. If you turn your monitor off, and then back on after a few minutes, the degaussing coil should take care of the problem. If it does not, then the degaussing circuit needs to be repaired. It can also be manually degaussed. Visit a local TV repair shop, and ask the technician if you can borrow or buy a degaussing coil, and get instructions on its use. Or perhaps you could bring them the monitor and let them do it.
