After a system crash I now have the following problem. System initially boots up fine but after shutdown the system fails to reboot, the tower powers up but nothing else happens, the only way I can reboot is to leave the power on and remove the mains plug and then start all over again.I've checked all windows power settings and bios power settings and all seems fine. Hi John, It may be that the crash caused a bios error. Resetting the bios to standard settings may help. Another cause could be overheating of the cpu. If the system works after being turned off for 1/2 an hour to cool. good luck, Rob |
