I just built me a pc with a ASUS P4T socket 423 and INTEL 850 chipset motherboard (NEW) got a Intel pentium4 423 cpu with fan and heatsink (new)got a new graphics card (radeon 8500) new tower case with correct power and put it together with my hdd from my old pc plus the sound card from old pc (Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Player) put in my CD-rewrite and DVD both by LG. I put it altogether like i'd done with my pc before and to my dismay discovered that the power LED on the motherboard comes on HDD LED comes on both CD-rewrite and DVD lights work but my monitor displays nothing! the little green light flashes like it did when i shutdown my old pc. i've checked to see if everything is seated right checked and tried changing ribbon cables tried different graphics cards both AGP and PCI. tried removing the different add-on cards and rebooting, still i get nothing on the monitor even tried moving it to new plug socket but no joy and tried it on another pc (it worked fine) changed memory about thinking it was that but still nothing. The last thing i tried was the DIP switches but there was nothing i could do there because my manual doesn't show what switch does what for my type of CPU.

PLZ HELP
I'm lost without my computer:-)
Thanx

When you first start the boot process, are there any beeps from the computer's speaker? Three beeps indicates AGP card not seated, or problem with AGP slot - try cleaning it - Does video card work in another PC? Remove all cards (Except video) and drives except floppy when you start again.
