I have upgraded my cpu, motherboard and case. Now my monitor(futura) displays please check signal cable. When I hook my system to another monitor(viewsonic) it works. I even hooked another computer system to my monitor and the monitor works. So I'm going crazy trying to figure out the problem. And I cant have the other monitor, its my husband |

Oh, boy! Well, try the Futura again, but be absolutely sure cable is correctly connected at video card, and if removable at monitor, be sure it is secure there, also. Try to wiggle cable if you receive same error message and see if faulty cable. Try re-seating video card into AGP slot - It must be firmly seated and secure screw to case. |

To Ladyhoo, It sounds as if the viewsonic monitor supports more resolutions and refresh rates than the Futura, with the viewsonic hooked up and working set the video to 640X480 and adaptor refresh rate to adaptor default, select O.K to apply the change and reboot if needed, after the change is complete switch back to the Futura monitor and see if it works. Than you can test what resolutions and refresh rates work with the monitor. Write them down and post the results back here with the monitor model number and we will see about setting up the proper monitor driver configuration. |

Thanks for the help. I accidently discoved that monitor would work if I reset the system. It seems to have that problem from a cold boot. Futura tech support seem to think its the motherboard which is a Asus A7V133 and also suggested to download driver for the monitor. So I'll try that. |
