My computer has just started doing this. It is two years old, and never done this before.
Every two or three minutes, it just freezes up, then after a period of about 10-15 seconds, it starts working again. Can anyone out there help cure this problem?

In the 2 or 3 years you have had the system has the harddrive been defragmented? It would help if it hasn't. |

Besides ES's good advice it could pay to see if you have a hungry background program that auto starts every 2 or 3 minutes. This could cause problem particularly if you dont have a lot of memory.
