Okay, I used to be able to keep my modem connected to my wall phone jack all the time. When I initiated the dial in sequence it would pick up and dial. When I disconnected from the ISP, it would hang up. No problem. Then one day the modem began to act as if it were a phone off the hook. Now every time I want to use the modem I have to climb under my desk and plug it into the wall. Then, when I disconnect I have to climb back under my desk and unplug it from the wall.

What the heck happened to cause this change?? How do I change it back??

Please email at odonne21@msu.edu

Hi Ryan,
Dont know if I can help but I do have one suggestion. look into your modem setup option "wait for dial tone". If it is checked, uncheck it. If it is not checked, check it.
Good Luck,
Rob
