Hi!

Since I installed my new asus a7v133 board, i cant establish any printer-connection. i've tried to do so with several printers (HP, Lexmark Z32 and(!) Z33). Neither on parallel nor on usb ports i managed to get it work. i think it's not an OS or software problem, because i am using win98 and unix on the same machine - with both i failed. Even a bios update doesnt match the problem.

need to escape from this hell, any ideas?

kind regards
tobias

Hi Tobias,
The only thing I can think of that would cause neither usb or parallel ports to work, and particularly that you have tried different printers is the cable and/or perhaps the usb is either not enabled or has a conflict. Check device manager and see if there is a conflict and check the bios to make sure the usb and parallel ports are enabled.
Good luck,
Rob
