I have a Presario 5001sr with a 8mb nividia vanta video card. I recently decided to upgrade my video card and bought a nividia Geforce2 MX200. After I installed the new card I get no video whatsoever. Windows doesnt even boot all the way I dont think because there isnt much hard drive activity. I can re-install my new card and it works fine. I read that the card may be hard to seat all the way into the agp slot so I tried it several times to be sure with no positive results. I would appreciate any help! |

Compaq's are very picky about vid cards, You didn't specify if the card is AGP or PCI but I would suspect your motherboard can't provide the needed power to operate the GeForce2. |

I just did some checking around and you may need to get a bios update for your system in order to make the Geforce2 recognised. |
