When pushing the start button on my computer, nothing happens. I've check out all that I could think of at this time, but nothing helped. A few days ago I found out that when I turn off the surge protector and wait about 10 seconds and turn it back on the computer will work. But If I leave it off for more then 4 hours it won't start again. Also, I can unplug it from the back of the case and wait the 10 seconds and it will start. Also, any time under 4 hours ( or so it seems ) the computer will start will no problems at all. I was leaning toward the power supply, but how can I test it? Any help would be appreicate. Thanks Tom |

A common occurance with newer systems when the PSU is turned on the Voltage Rails don't stabilize fast enough for the system. A good check is to press the reset button when the problem occurs once or twice, if it boots than you know your PSU isn't quite up to the task of handling the load you are putting on it. |
