I have A Compaq Presario XL300 notebook. At crucial.com it says that teh maximum amount of memory it can have is 320. IT now has 64 MB of unremovable memory. I wanna buy 256 from best buy, but I'm not sure it can. At crucial.com, It says it has 1 bank out of 1. Can I upgrade still?

One SODIMM slot the 64MEG will stay as you said unremovable. 256 Meg will max out the Notebook memory capacity.
