When I scan something and copy it, it has a grey shaded background and you can not even see the item I scanned. I can not fix it. Please help... |

It is a Visioneer One Touch 8800. I have reinstalled the scanner and still no difference, just a shaded piece of paper. When it is scanned, the preview item also looks this way when it is sent to PaperPort. I am using Windows ME if this makes any difference and PaperPort 7.0. I have tried everything I know to do, so any help would be truly appreciated. |

Are you also using the ProOCR 100 software with Paperport? You may need it if you haven't installed it. Don't rely on WinMe's built in OCR as it may not be up to the job of handling the data compression. |
