I have an actiontec internal call waiting modem that I used with windows98.Will it work on windows xp?

Depends on the chipset used on the modem, if it is a lucent based modem=yes, if it is conexant/Rockwell=perhaps, any controller based modem will use the default XP driver. Call waiting or MOH (modem on hold) software is a seperate issue and you should check with the manufacturer for XP compatability.

I have a USrobotics V92 modem that supports ICN. It was working fine but after reformatting my harddrive (XP) that feature doesn't work anymore when a call comes in and it keeps telling me to please install my modem but it will connect to the internet just fine. I have uninstalled it, uninstalled the drivers,software and reinstalled everything but it still doesn't work. Please help!
