My computer freezes (and is unrecoverable, I have to press reset or power button) from time to time when I play graphics intense games or when watching mpg files. I have tried replacing ram, network card and graphics card to no avail. The 5volt reading on my psu is low, It hovers around 4.4v, could this be the cause of the problem?? System spec. That could be the cause as nominal 5 volt supply is usually 4.7 to 4.9 on load. If you have another supply swap it and check again if the voltage remains low than some peripheral is causing excess load on the PSU. |
