My burner, a plextor 24X wont burn. Simulation finishes properly, but it wont burn. I have only once managed to burn properly, at 4X. Even with new firmware. The burner is strapped and placed as secondary master, and strapped with DMA.
system:
1,33 Ghz AMD TB
Abit kt7a Motherboard
512 mb 133 mhz sdram
Windows XP
The same settings worked on a different system, a p3 450 winme. |

I've had the same problem in the past with Plextor configuration and XP. The first item to chack is how the cd burner is being detected by the bios. If secondary master is set to auto detect change it to none and let the bios Plug and Play pick it up. If that doesn't fix it let us know what Burning software you use. |
