A computer I built for my sister doesn't seem to be sending a signal to the monitor. I turn it on, it seems to boot up, but the monitor recieves no activity. I have tried several video cards, and monitors, no change. It is a 950mhz Duron K7AMA ECS MAINBOARD. I have a Voodoo 2 2500 in it, and a generic netword card, and one stick of PC133 SDRAM. Any Ideas? the first video signal comes from the bios itself upon bootup. have you checked your bios settings? even if the video card isn't working, you should get up to the error on the monitor as far as the motherboard is concerned. i'd say you may have to recheck the motherboard setting in the bios, or something is wrong there. |

The voodoo 2 doesn't support 2D at all or bios boot, it is a 3D only card. Check your patch cord for proper connection from the main card to the voodoo 2, if you are running video directly off the Voodoo 2 you won't see anything nor will the monitor receive a signal until a 3D app is launched. |
