I have a texas instruments pentium 133 that wont find my zip drive. i wiped the system out and it has no cd rom. the messages I get is that no drive letters were added after running the guest program from the zip floppy. could it be that, lpt1 has an irq of 5 on this system and that the i/o address is 278h. i know that these are not the typical addresses for lpt1. if I cant get this to work, does anyone have an idea how I can install win98 with no cdrom and no network access? |

I've never worked with a zip drive so I don't know if there are DOS drivers for them. I have an ls120 super drive that can be loaded in DOS which makes it very handy to transfer large programs to pc's without cd drives. Investigate DCC, I can't verify it but I've been told it can work in DOS. Check this out for starters. http://home.att.net/~bdrm/Software/Windows/x.htm It may give you some ideas. Check back to say how things went. |
