Hi,
I have a problem with my AMD pc,
When I turn it on power comes on, and cdrom and harddisks startup, but nothing happens on the screen... until I push reset, then the computer will boot up and run fine.
It will also boot up fine if I hold down the reset button when I push the power button.
I have had this problem since I replaced my motherboard. I am pretty sure the switch leads are plugged into the reight places.
Its driving me mad, please help me out! |

This happened to one of my systems. It took about nine mos. till the power supply died, to find out the real source of the problem. When the new power supply was installed the strange startups disappeared. |

As Vera pointed out you may have a slowly dieing power supply or it may just not be up to the task of powering your Athlon system. |
