Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me. The problem is, my CD will not play Audio CD's, well, it will, but there is no sound. It plays MP3 CD's, .wav files in fact everything, except .cda files and audio CD's even shop bought ones, can anyone suggest anything that may help me please?

Thank you for your time

Graham

MP3 and .WAV files are digital files and are usually transfered from cd to HDD at playback. Most if not all store bought cd's are CDA and use the cd to audio card cable patch if the cdrom doesn't have digital audio enabled. Check that the cdrom isn't muted in the mixer panel and also check the cable from cdrom to sound card.
