Okay, i've had it for about 3 years and its only for personal use. It died on me quarter way through an online download. Blinking light - fed the paper through and then nothing? Tried again, switched everything off, rebooted nothing. When i finally did get it to try and print, the progress window took about 10 minutes to get to 100% but still nothing printed and i ended up with "Needs Service" message blinking at me. Is there hope for the ol girl, is it worth servicing or should i go out and buy another printer. Price range between $200 - $300 Australian measly dollars and am throwing up between canon s300 and HP 948c/960. Any suggestions appreciated...Thanks, Harry |

Clean the slide rails the carriage moves on and then use a light oil to relube. If it still fails, then consider a new one, as any repairs will upset the cost for new. -----Willy |
