Hi, i have a PIII PBell machine and I want to upgrade to a larger hard drive (ideally 40-60 GB). However the dealer I contacted said that my bios is unlikely to support HDisks larger than around 10GB. Could someone let me know if this is the case and, if so, what course of action i could take. |

The only info I can find relating to Pulsar 300 is that PB used MSI 6168 Bora Pro mainboard but MSI probably won't support it so any info has to come directly from PB. As far as Hard drive support goes there is no reason why at least a 40 gig wouldn't work natively. MSI websight lists a bios update to support 60 gig HDD's for the MS6168 motherboard but I don't know if PB uses MSI bios updates or their own. My best guess from experience is no.....they don't use MSI. There is always the option of an ATA100 controller. |
