I have an intel P2 400, The soundcard is attached to the motherboard, and I have purchased a better soundcard, but I do not know how to disable the current one in order to install the new sound card. I am not sure what type of motherboard it is, but the case is open and I'm hoping someone can help.

well, if you look at the manual, it will tell you whether it needs a jumper, or a bios adjustment to diable the sound. some, you can do it in both places.
