Hi. I've bought a K7SEM motherboard and I want to install a GeForce 2 MX video card. Now I want to disable the built in video card on the mobo, but in the bios I can't find an option that will do this. I've already looked for jumpers on the board but I can't find anything that will disable the card. Can anyone help me? the shared video memory option(which only can be set to 8,32,64 Mb) slows my computers performance. |

well, i see in the manual. on page 47 - 52, that there's a setting in the bios to select what you use for video: agp slot; or onboard i assume. try changing that, and then install the card and drivers. in the bios, leave the agp aperature at 64 and the default of system/video bios enabled. and also, leave (on page 40) the video at it's default also: ega/vga. |

Thanks for your help, but maybe i should have mentioned that i have the PCI version of the GeForce2. i have tried an AGP card and now the problem is gone. The on board vga disables itself when i use the agp card. anyway, thanks for your help! |
