I have a MS-6385 motherboard with a P4 1.3Gig proccessor. I want to upgrade this chip to a 2.0 gig P4, but there are no jumpers on the motherboard and the only thing in the bios is a clock multiplier which goes from 8X to 24X. There is also nothing about changing the CPU in the manual. How on Earth do I upgrade or even overclock if there are no jumpers or BIOS settings? Please help, the chip I have at the mo sucks. |

it'll take it right? go to the web site and download the latest bios for support for your p-4. this board was rated to only do a 1.7 ghz cpu. the bios upgrade will allow it to do the p-4 2ghz cpu. so.....you need to flash the bios to get it to work. http://www.msi.com.tw/support/bios/bios.php?model=MS-6385 |
