Help, the used HDD will not format to the full 6 GB, Just 1.9.....plus, I can't seem to acess the old OS and format that and use the whole HDD...Any ideas???? It's a Maxtor HDD.

Have you used fdisk to see what is on there for partitions? If there are more than one partition than either remove the other partitions and repartition, then format or format the other partitions individually.Fdisk will tell you what drive letter assignments the extra partitions have.
On the other hand, it could have been prepared with maxtors maxblast?
In anycase, still check the partition info with fdisk. |
